codelearner
how do you compare the usability or ease of use of Affinity Designer vs Adobe Illustrator. I'm assuming Adobe Illustrator is the competitor of Affinity Designer. And I haven;t used any Adobe products products yet.
Aammppaa
I hate Illustrator - always have. I find it clunky and cumbersome. By contrast I find Affinity intuitive and lithe. Of course there are things Illustrator can do that Affinity can't do yet - but there are usually ways to get around the shortcomings. But don't take my word for it... try both of them out for an hour or two, and see which one clicks. codelearner 1 Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro

I would say that Illustrator is better usability if you're working fast and appreciate key commands and and modifiers. Ease of use is also better in Illustrator, if you were expert in both programs because Illustrator will still allow you to work a lot faster. Illustrator is not better at everything though. But the difference between these two programs is as big as the price.
