Stroke: Inside | Centre | Outside

Struggling to find the options.

I know they exist as an effect (fx) but can't seem to find a way to apply them to a stroked shape.

With a vector object selected, note that at the top bar on the left it will display something like: Ellipse Fill stroke Convert to donut...  Click the bar after "stroke" and the stroke color box. This will give access to the stroke dialogue, where you can work with stroke size, alignment, end caps, etc.

There are buttons in the Stroke panel for this:

How specifically did you combine them?

A selection  of circles, divided - a few lines added, then joined end points (knife tool anyone?)

Works fine when simple combining a number of simple shapes shapes - but possibly the direction of the curves are different for each part?

That might be the problem?
