Trinity
Hello, I have just started a course on photography and am being asked if I can ensure that my name as author of the picture is embedded in the exif data. I cannot find any way of doing this. Can you help? Many Thanks David Adams
Staff MEB Posted October 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted October 20, 2017 Hi Trinity, Welcome to Affinity Forums No, it's not possible to edit the EXIF metadata in Affinity Photo except the Description field. To do it go to menu View ▸ Studio ▸ EXIF to display the EXIF panel then in the panel itself change/edit the description field (the dropdown should be set to Summary). John Rostron
There are several free exif editors about, but the old versions of Adobe Bridge are also available to download (or so I am told). Bridge is a moderately competent DAM as well as an exif editor. When I upload a set of images, I always start off in Bridge to add my personal details, including copyright information. I can do this by loading a suitable preset. Quote Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Designer 1.10.5 and Publisher 1.10.5 (mainly Photo), now ex-Adobe CC CPU: AMD A6-3670. Trinity
Thank You Jon I have just recently installed a copy of Bridge to use as a DAM, and have worked out how to edit the details in there. Many Thanks John Rostron

Many Thanks Thanks, @Trinity. I find that Bridge is under-rated, probably because many use Lightroom or PSE as their DAM. I use ACDSee as my DAM, but still use Bridge to set up my Exif. ACDSee does offers a GPS facility which Bridge does not. Quote Windows 10, Affinity Photo 1.10.5 Designer 1.10.5 and Publisher 1.10.5 (mainly Photo), now ex-Adobe CC CPU: AMD A6-3670. dmstraker
I put copyright info into my camera, so all images get it automatically.
