Gaurav202mehta
The problem started when about a week ago, I downloaded the latest drivers for the GPU, I downloaded the beta ones what happened next that the laptop started to freeze, after a bit of tinkering it started to work again. Then next day I switched the laptop on and then right after the startup the login screen flashed and then there was the Black Screen.my friend has told me that it was the graphic driver problem.i have also searched on the internet and I have found some of the graphic driver websites.can you tell can I trust that websites or not.http://driverbasket.com/https://go4download.com/
Staff Callum Posted September 1, 2017 Staff Share Posted September 1, 2017 Hi Gaurav202mehta, Welcome to the Forums I have never heard of these websites. I'd recommend getting your driver directly from your GPU manufacturers website. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Hi. In order to be able to answer this and possibly help you we need to know many more details about your computer: manufacturer, model (number or name), what GPU, even the Operating System, RAM, CPU, type and size of hard drive, etc., etc.. You wrote in your original post that you downloaded the latest drivers for the GPU, I downloaded the beta ones. Where did you download them from? If it was not the manufacturer's site you could have downloaded an "unofficial" driver, not approved by the manufacturer. The more information you can give us the more likely we will be able to at least offer some advice. Beta software, whatever the source, is likely to have issues (bugs, instabilities, conflicts, security vulnerabilities, etc.) -- that's why it is still in the beta testing phase of development. For this reason it is generally not a good idea to install it on a computer you depend on for anything important, even if it is from a trusted source like a manufacturer's web site. This is even more important for device drivers because they run at the system level, where they can affect much more than application or user level software. InfoCentral
I purchased Pinnacle Studio for video editing. When I went to preview a video it would render a few frames and then freeze while continuing to scrub along. If I would stop and start again it would do the same, render a few frames and freeze. I knew something was wrong so I went into device manager and found that I had both Intel Graphics and Nvidia Graphics enabled. I disabled Intel Graphics and everything worked fine. I have read that having both enabled is common on laptops but obviously can cause problems with programs.
