JonathanBowen
Hello. I want to create a favicon but I have a circle that extends beyond the boundaries of a square at some points. How do I cut those extended sections out of the circle? I've attached the file. I don't want somebody to do it for me. I'd like to learn the steps. Thanks. Staff MEB Posted January 19, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 19, 2017 Hi JonathanBowen, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Duplicate the base rectangle, select it (the duplicate) and the outer circle, then go to menu Layer ▸ Geometry ▸ Intersect. You may have to adjust the circle's fill colour to white again after this operation. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
carl123
Duplicate the base rectangle and in the layers tab drag its thumbnail onto the thumbnail of your outer circle to create a mask Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. JimmyJack
Same concept as above, but a slightly different execution. No duplicating required. Select the top four layers and drag them to nest under the rectangle (horizontal blue line will appear.... see attached). result.
