Craig Deeley
Attached are a set of AD Textured Intensity brushes made from images of cloud formations. There are just four brushes here, created as an experiment - in search of lovely textured brush strokes. The attached image gives a nice demonstration of the look these offer. Raising a toast to the New Year (2017), Affinity Designers developers (keep it up!) and fantastic community. Thanks all! Alfred
The brushes dont show up in the menu on a AP Mac version - pls advise These are vector brushes, so they are only available in the Draw Persona in AD. (I don't know why they are "imported successfully" into APh if we can't use them there!) brunzenstein
Now, how to get rid of them in AP? Alfred
I think it's a false message. There doesn't seem to be anything to get rid of. brunzenstein
the message I got in AP was there the brush was imported successfully three times... So I need to find them - in the App Support folder they are not to be found. UPDATE: found them where also AD stores them - deep in the system - thanks They're stored in two files called raster_brushes.propcol & vector_brushes.propcol. These files are located in: /Users/_YOUR_USERNAME_/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner/Data/Library/Application Support/user/ Quote Mac print publishing X-Press & Adobe hostage, cooking on extrem high level, subscribing with joy to US Cooks Illustrated & Foreign Affairs, the british Spectator and the swiss Weltwoche - absolute incompatible publications
Alfred
That's why I said I think the "imported successfully" message is false. If I look in my %ProgramFiles%\Affinity\Affinity Designer\Resources\Affinity Designer folder, I see a 'raster_brushes.propcol' file and a 'vector_brushes.propcol' file. In the %ProgramFiles%\Affinity\Affinity Photo\Resources\Affinity Photo folder, there is no 'vector_brushes.propcol' file. Edit: I've just seen your update. If you look in your '/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto' folder, I think you'll find that it only has a *.propcol file for the raster brushes, not the vector ones. brunzenstein
On the Mac they where to be found within the AP and I put them to the trash - anyhow - thank you indeed for the nice cloud brushes you shared for AD. Craig Deeley
brunzenstein, Sorry for any confusion about what those brushes are. Hope you like them and find them useful. I would love to see any AD art using the brushes I have shared. Alfred, Thanks for stepping in there to clarify! I am on a Mac (Macs) as well. It is very handy to know where some assets are stored.
