Hi all.

Does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to swap between the primary and secondary colours.

I know I can just click the icon on the colour picker but a key would be so much faster for when I am touching up photos.

I have looked through the docs and the keyboard mappings in the preferences but I just can't find it.

Cheers. Scott :)

Scott,

Go to Affinity Photo > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts, the click on the dropdown menu where it says "Affinity Photo", and change it to "Miscellaneous".

The 16th entry down (in the list which appears below) says "Toggle Fill Context" - simply set your desired shortcut key / key combination to the right of that entry.

The 5th entry down will allow you to set a shortcut to make the default foreground (Primary) and background (Secondary) colours black and white.

Hope that helps :)

I also had trouble finding it, as the naming conventions used in AP are sometimes different to what I am used to in PS.

Foreground = Primary. Background = Secondary etc. etc.

It takes a little time to get used to doing things a different way, but sometimes change is a good thing :)

Thanks! This was very useful to me. Now I can set white and black as default colours. (D)  :D

Good idea! While looking at the option 'Set Fill to Black and White', I noticed 'Set Fill to 50% Grey' (just above it in the list). I've discovered that the latter actually has nothing at all to do with grey, but instead sets the layer opacity to 50%; it's the same in Designer.
