AD only in advert design?

I was wondering if I could recommend associates to purchase AD to prepare simple ads and brochures (so that they would stop pestering me), since it is claimed to have pixel abilities too and possibly could be one stop design app.

 

Vector and type tools are good enough but pixel? So can it do it all, lets see:

 

Import photos -- OK

Crop image -- OK

Curves/levels -- OK

Clone/heal -- NO?

Unsharp mask -- NO?

Convert to CMYK -- OK, in PDF export

 

Seems clone tools (which are not very important) and sharpening tools (which are important) are missing. Not bad so I guess it is doable. Any thoughts?

You will have to recomend APhoto, too. You can't expect one app to have all the bitmap tools. AD is not all-in-one app, sorry.  :)

Strangely, although the Effects panel in AD has a Gaussian Blur effect, there is no Unsharp Mask effect. However, there is a Sharpen Brush Tool in the Pixel Persona.
