ThomasK
Hello, so I started using Affinity Designer on Windows and there's no better way to test it then just doing the work You need. :) I am trying to set the text on the path, but it always wants to put text inside shape. Is this feature not available in the windows beta? Sincerely, Thomas BTW: I already love the Designer. I was using Fireworks, but the Designer seems like great successor. :)
Staff Chris B Posted August 22, 2016 Staff Share Posted August 22, 2016 Hi Thomas, Please make sure you are using the Artistic Text Tool to place text on a path. Artistic Text - This is used to place text following a path. For example the outline of a shape or along the line drawn by the Pen Tool Framed Text Tool - This will place the text inside the confines of a shape. For example you can fill a rectangle with textI hope this helps and I'm glad to hear you are really enjoying Affinity :) ThomasK 1 How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Dave Harris
The menu option Layer > Convert to Text Path should also work. This puts the handles in default positions, which can be easier than positioning them by hand. Alfred and ThomasK
