Extreme_Noodles Posted March 20 Posted March 20 I was trying to pay for the Affinity V2 Universal Licence when the website says something went wrong with the payment. I thought I may have put in the wrong info so I tried again and it says something wrong. I look at my bank to double check to see if something was off with the card and I see I was charged twice, and I still don't have access to the programs. I still would like to purchase a licence so help would be appreciated. Quote

Photography by Mark Posted March 23 Posted March 23 (edited) uh...oh...this seems like a deal breaker for me. I really like this software. I hope I don't go through this. I will see if any of these get resolved before I plop $170 for something that may or may not download. Fingers crossed. I'l keep an eye out. Edited March 23 by Photography by Mark Quote

Because it was suggested that the discussion moves to a private one via email you might never see if there was a resolution by watching this thread. Judging by what I have seen in the forums, most of these sort of problems are because either: the person has some other software installed/enabled/configured (Anti-virus, Firewall, etc.) which is interfering with the process, or; they are using a VPN which makes it look like their machine is in a different country where downloading is not legally permitted, or; it’s a problem with the person’s bank which Serif have no control over, or; it’s some one-off oddity which simply ‘fixes itself’ after a while. The vast majority of people seem, as far as I’m aware, to be able to download the software without any problems (unless they download the wrong version). As far as I know, Serif have been able to rectify pretty much all of these sort of problems one way or another on the infrequent occasions when they do happen. No-one can guarantee that you wont have a problem if you try, it but there’s not much that can be guaranteed when you are dealing with so many different interconnected systems across the world. Quote

What Serif does guarantee, however, is that if you make a purchase from the Affinity Store and you subsequently request a refund for any reason or none, as long as you do so within 14 days of purchase you will automatically qualify for a full refund. https://store.serif.com/help/#returns GarryP 1 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
Photography by Mark Posted March 24 Posted March 24 After paying, everything is good. I love this software and I'm so glad I did it! I love that there is a help section if I need it. Something PS didn't have and no monthly fee, who doesn't love that? Mark GarryP, emmrecs01 and Alfred 3 Quote

Something PS didn't have Adobe does seem to have a thriving support community, but that’s mostly going to be relevant only to users who are willing to pay the monthly subscription fee for the software.
