I had a couple of small old b&w photos one of the telephone booths and one of a street that I sort of based the background on.  Plus a photo of the taxi. Used lots of blend mode bits to give some texture rather than using any blurs. Might do some more, not sure yet.

There is a design issue with the booths tilting down to the left along with the size of the phone users graduating from the tallest at the right to the shortest at the left. I would make everything horizontal.

I’m not entirely sure if the booths are on a slight hill (rising to the right), or whether they aren’t ‘fitted square to the base’ (see distance between booth and ‘grey slab’ at bottom-left and bottom-right), or both, or something else?

Also, I don’t understand what’s happened with the “ICE” “CREAM” sign(s) at the top. It might be true to real life but it looks a bit odd.

Those minor ‘head scratchers’ aside, it’s an image that I would be very pleased to be able to make if I had the skill and patience.
