MikeTO Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) test.afpub This repeatable crash is a regression from 2.5.7. Editing a cross-reference will crash if the Filter field has focus when you click OK. Open this 2.5.7 document in the 2.6 beta (it's the same test doc as for the TOC preflight error bug I reported earlier: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/227263-257-toc-outdated-and-updating-breaks-cross-references/) Preflight flags the TOC as out of date so click Fix to update it. This breaks the cross-references as described in that other report. Using the cross-references panel, double-click the first one (named Second) to edit it. Double-click "Second" to select it and update the cross-reference - this works correctly, I think because the Filter field loses focus. Now double-click the second one (named First) to edit it. This time type "first" into the filter field (or "fir", just something to filter the list and give the filter field focus) and then click OK. This will immediately crash if the filter field has focus when you click OK. Interestingly, the crash doesn't happen on Windows, where both cross-references can be updated successfully; filtering the list doesn't cause a crash. On Mac, it seems to be specific to the Search field. When editing the first X-Ref, typing either F or S in the search field followed by OK will cause the crash. Staff Sean P Posted January 23 Staff Posted January 23 Hi Hangman - I did notice that myself - I was unable to reproduce on Windows, but could on macOS. Hangman 1 Quote
