Hi all,

  • The Question:
  • Is there a way to export an in-Publisher-edited image out of a Publisher file using Publisher?

  • The Context:
    • I did some image manipulation to an image, within a picture frame, inside publisher.
    • I would like to now export the full-resolution image, with the in-publisher-made edits, directly out of the publisher file.
      • Note: Export selection only doesn't export the whole image.

  • Current Work Around
    • Select the image layer with in-publisher-edits > copy > *Open A-photo* > New From Clipboard *Copied A-Pub Image layer with A-pub-Edits is now open in A-Photo*

Thanks.

Hi @NiTOXide,

I can't think of a better workaround than the current one you are using, but i'm sure if there is one someone else will correct me :)

Export Selected will do just that and export the selected item with the frame applied, that's working as expected.

Thank you for the swift reply.

@NiTOXide, it appears (in APub V1) there is no workaround required because, if you select the nested image layer, then "Selected Only" exports the nested image completely

… whereas "Selected Area" exports the entire image area but cropped + Picture Frame (+ its stroke for instance).

Is the inserted image selected in the Layers panel, not the Picture frame?
