In Publisher Beta 2.6.0.3027 Windows 11, you can't change the margin color in the Document Setup window.

Unfortunately, I have the impression that after Canva took over, the quality of control over the release of new Beta versions has significantly deteriorated, and errors of previously well-functioning functions are introduced into the program.

I wanted to send new suggestions for improving the program, but I see that just fixing the errors that are being produced will take ages.

It works here on Mac OS.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It's working here in 2.6.0.3027 on both Windows 10 and Mac so I'm slightly surprised it's not working for you on Windows 11...

What actually happens when you try to change the Margin colour, does it display the colour panel or simply not accept the chosen colour?

After restarting Publisher I can now change the margin color, but the margin color selection window is moved on the screen by a few centimeters (it is not under the rectangle defining the current margin color) - you can see this in the attachment. This also applies to the Bleed tab.

Also, the margin color and bleed selection are not updated on the screen as they are in the Guides window. In the Guides window, in the Margin position, if I select a new margin color - the margin in the selected color is immediately displayed on the screen. You can then set the margin color on the fly so that it is clearly visible even before confirming with the OK button.

So I personally think that it is currently a bug that the newly selected margin color and bleed are not displayed on the fly.

I'm certainly not seeing that here, the colour panel is glued to the Colour Rectangle for both Margin and Bleed but would agree if it's reproducible then definitely a bug... Are you using a second monitor or is this on your main monitor?

That is also the case in 2.5.7 on both Windows and Mac so I'm unsure if this has ever been the case but can see no obvious reason why it shouldn't update live as it does in the Guides panel so again, this definitely looks bug-like to me...

Restarting the program does nothing. The color panel is shifted relative to the Document Setup window. This happens on the main screen.

And this only applies to the latest Beta 2.6.0.3027 version on Windows 11 of all three programs.

Have you tried a Factory Reset of Publisher by holding the Ctrl Key when launching the app? Leave the first three options selected in the Clear User Data panel, select the Clear button, and allow the app to finish launching.

Note: Doing so will reset any custom settings you may have made to the tools panel and the toolbar but it may also reset the colour panel for both the Margins and Bleed options.
