Ron P. Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I posted about this HERE, because I noticed those shortcuts CTL+(NUMPAD)+ & CTL+(NUMPAD)- do not work at all in the Retail versions. HOWEVER, I noticed in the Beta versions of Designer & Publisher they do. I'm referring to what keys I'm pressing, not what's set in the preferences>shortcuts, for Zoom In & Zoom Out. In Photo (beta) it does not work. Also In Photo and Designer V1, it works. In all instances I'm talking about pressing those keys, the Settings (or Preferences in V1), Shortcuts (keyboard shortcuts)View>Zoom In and Zoom Out settings are CTL+ = , and CTL+ -. @Sean P posted yesterday it was an intentional design. So is the Intentional Design that it works in some and not in others? Just checked in the current, just released Beta versions ...3027 and there's no change. Staff Sean P Posted Monday at 09:00 AM Staff Posted Monday at 09:00 AM Hi Ron, I think you've misunderstood what Ronny was saying in that thread and what I was saying was intentional. He was saying when you use the zoom in shortcuts it doesn't zoom in on the selection, which is what I was saying was an intentional design. What you are seeing about those shortcuts not working in retail is NOT an intentional design choice. The keys should function the same in both retail or beta and there have been no changes to that area recently to my knowledge. These keys are working for me in 2.5.7 retail using both the _/- and +/= keys as well as NumPad+ and NumPad- keys (using a UK layout). Photo and Designer both Retail and Beta are also the same. In the ones that are not working it might be worth resetting your shortcuts to see if that solves it. ZoomShortcuts.mp4 Quote

In a previous update the zoom in/out shortcuts no longer worked when using the NUMPAD So, for people like me who had got used to using the NUMPAD you had to remap the existing shortcut keys to CTL+NUMPAD + and CTL+NUMPAD - But the problem (which still exists today - retail and beta versions) is once you change the shortcut keys to CTL+NUMPAD + and CTL+NUMPAD - and restart the app, remapping the zoom in/out shortcut keys back to the non NUMPAD values results in the NUMPAD keys no longer working. You have to explicitly use the Reset button in the shortcuts dialog to get both the non NUMPAD and NUMPAD keys working again Windows 11 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Ron P. Posted Monday at 04:36 PM Author Posted Monday at 04:36 PM Resetting the shortcuts worked. Even though in the Settings>Shortcuts dialog, it shows the short cuts to be CTL + = and CTL + -, I can use my Numpad. (CTL +, CTL - ). This is with all apps, in all versions. So is it a bug, that the app is not recognizing the shortcuts in the Settings>Shortcuts? Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Thanks for that Ron, it seems that when you clear the shortcut, re-adding it, isn't adding the Num+ behaviour, so I will pass that on! Quote
