MikeTO Posted January 7 Posted January 7 This may not be a separate bug and may just be due to the interaction of these two bugs: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/226618-global-lists-from-master-start-at-2/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/226619-left-master-heading-included-in-toc/ This works the same way in 2.5.7 and 2.6.0 but I've included only a 2.6.0 test file. The TOC appears as: Chapter 1 has a single heading formatted as Heading 1 which is a global 1. I manually started it as #1 to avoid the first of the bugs reported above. The TOC for chapter 1 includes a second heading above that first heading due to the second of the bugs reported above. It is numbered 1 because that's how it was numbered on the master The TOC for chapter 2 includes the same two headings, but: The left master heading is numbered 4 - is this because chapter 1 had left master, right, master, and page 1 headings? The left master heading is named "Chapter 1" even though I renamed it after duplicating chapter 1 to create chapter 2, presumably because even though no left ghost is shown for spread 1, there really is a left ghost frame with the original text? This bug is somewhat for Books because I thought I could advise the user who originally reported this (https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/226616-toc-counting-master-pages/) to change the headings on the master page from Heading 1 to No Style. But if you do this for chapters 1 and 2 with my test book, the TOC will still include them. The only solution is to delete the frames from the master and recreate them without using Heading 1. Staff Callum Posted January 31 Staff Posted January 31 Hi Mike TO, I have spoken to our QA team regarding this and we think this will be solved when AF-5486 is fixed. I have attached your book to our internal report so the fix can also be tested against it. Thanks C MikeTO 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
MikeTO Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 I'm glad you figured this out - I re-read my bug report above and I think I could have written it better!
