leton Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 After drawing a rectangle, I usually adjust the size, move the position, or adjust the chamfer. In fact, every time I draw a rectangle, the tool will stay on drawing the rectangle, and I need to manually switch to the move tool. Maybe I am used to the operation of Adobe and think that using Designer 2 is more cumbersome, or maybe I have a completely different design habit from everyone else. I just want to talk about my experience, that's all. Quote Amateur.
RNKLN Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Hi Leton, Is it a problem to directly push the 'V' key (to switch to the 'move'tool) after you have drawn the rectangle? For me that works. carl123 Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 In Designer... If you are using the Move Tool and want to draw a Rectangle just press and hold the M key (the shortcut for a Rectangle) draw your Rectangle then let go of the M key, the Move Tool will then still be active Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. To move a shape after you have just drawn it, while still using a shape tool (e.g. Rectangle Tool), you can move the mouse pointer over the shape boundary box to see the mouse pointer change to a ‘four-way-arrow’. If you drag from there you can move the shape without needing to select the Move Tool. Resizing the shape or, for the Rectangle, adjusting the chamfer, can also be done without changing to the Move Tool. Pšenda 1 Quote
