2.5.5 beta is identical to the retail version, so if you're experiencing performance issues with the beta but not the retail version then check your performance settings and look for any other differences such as different content.

I know this is basic, but a restart might also solve the issue if it's a macOS memory management issue.

Hi @ronnyb,

Are you experiencing same redraw delay in the retail version on your file after following Mike's advice above?

If it's the same feel free to upload the file here and we'll take look: https://www.dropbox.com/request/5foGc19JvmuX9w5QN6EK

Thanks @ronnyb,

It looks like the redraw delay is caused by the Motion Blur live filter shown in the screenshot below, it's set to a 547px radius and as a result is very performance expensive, either toggling this filter off or reducing the radius results in a much faster redraw on both system's i've checked. Probably best to hide this filter temporarily while working in the app.

Thanks for looking into it @NathanC  That’s odd as the performance degradation wasn’t noticeable for a while with that layer active…. I guess as the file got more complex it uses up more resources….

I’ll  keep a copy of that image+live filter deactivated in backup layers group, and simply Merge that filter with the image in the working layer…

Again, much appreciated 🙏
