mijakame
My initial testing with new imaging software is to do something basic and see if it is intuitive. So I'm trying to crop an image. I read the blurb about the Vector Crop Tool. It says to drag from the corner or edge handles. I'm able to move the image around in the crop space but I'm unable to move the corner or edge handles. I'm sure the answer is easy and I'm not the smartest propeller head around but, still, it should be able to do a basic crop without going to the forum to learn how. Beta editorializing aside, how do I enable the cropping function? Thanks
Staff TonyB Posted June 30, 2016 Staff Share Posted June 30, 2016 Sounds like a bug. I will get the developers to look at it. Thanks for the feedback.
Mark Ingram
I'm able to move the image around in the crop space but I'm unable to move the corner or edge handles. Hi, it seems to be working OK for me, is it just that you selected the rectangle inside the crop? Here's a video I made: https://youtu.be/x_MEH4iexvo
Alfred
The corner and edge handles work OK for me, but how do you remove the crop? The Context toolbar is empty when I activate the Vector Crop Tool. Staff MEB Posted July 4, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 4, 2016 Hi Alfred, There's no context toolbar options for the Crop Tool in Designer (same on the Mac). This is an object based crop which gets applied to the object through a mask. It's not a regular document based crop. To remove the crop just delete the respective mask (or hide it). Alfred
Thanks, Miguel. I've just returned to this thread after finding the crop thumbnail in the Layers panel, at which point it was pretty obvious that I simply needed to click on it and press the Delete key.
