Show Transform Origin Push Twice

Recommended Posts

Every time I go to push the "show transform origin" button I have to initially push the button twice for it to toggle on.
After that it's the regular one press to enable/disable.

Not in Windows version.

I found the circumstance that makes it happen.
Going from the node tool to the move tool, then clicking on the 'Enable point Transform' button.
That's when I have to push it twice every time.

I’ve been able to replicate this – see attached video where you can see that the button is pressed the first time without the action happening – but I can’t remember it happening before.

It might have happened before but I could have thought that it was just a ‘mouse problem’.

Yes, me too - but it has to be Curve. Switching Node to Move Tool works for Rectangle. Only after Convert to Curve is the first click on Origin suppressed.

I wonder if there’s an important piece of information about this that I’m missing.

There's an "Enable Transform Origin" icon when using the Node Tool

Just saw that too.  But enabling it I'm not seeing my transform point.  Or when I do find it, why it doesn't sync with the move tool's 'Transform Origin'.

You only see it when you have 2 or more nodes selected on the curve

The Move Tool's "Transform Origin" is based on the entire shape. The Node Tool's "Transform Origin" is based on the nodes you have selected. They would only ever be in sync if you have selected all nodes in the curve (I think)

Aside from the above, if you enable "Transform Origin" with the Node Tool, then switch to the Move Tool how many clicks do you need now to enable "Transform Origin" (1 or 2)?

Ah I see.

At first I wrote, "Every time" but now I'm not sure.  It's inconsistent, even when going from the node tool to the move tool.
They seem to be syncing now, between node and move.  The curves are different than shapes, seeing as there is no transform enable button for shapes.
I just had to push twice to disable it on the move tool.  And then they are not syncing, and then they are again.  I can't give you an consistent answer.
