Please start by closing all open applications including Affinity. Wait about a minute for apps to fully close down then do a Forced Restart as per Apples instructions below, please do not let go of power button until you see Apple Logo, ignore any messages on screen.

Can update to version 2.5.3 of Publisher if your iPad has not already done this and when you start Publisher and you see the splash screen please double tap it and the Clear User Data screen will then be shown please tap the Reset button and let me know if you are having the same issue.

Thank you.

I will do it this afternoon. Just one question, won't I lose the projects?

You will not lose anything when you update iPadOS or update the App to the latest version so long as you do not delete the app. Do not delete the app as doing so will delete any projects you have open on the Affinity home screen.  To be extra safe it is worth getting in to the habit of naming your projects and saving to an iCloud folder that you create so that you have an extra dated backup of your projects.

The ‘folder that you create’ part of this excellent advice can’t be stressed strongly enough. If you save to the iCloud folder that the app creates, deleting the app will put you at risk of losing your documents.
