Bryce
I'm using Designer on Mac 2.5.0 and the Delete button to the left of "end" is acting funny. It's function changes depending how long I've been in Designer. It's not consistent and I"m not sure how to pinpoint what exactly is going on. If I shutdown designer and restart. It works as it should - deleting characters to the right of the cursor. after a while it will change to something else. Right now it's pasting my previously selected style. Next time it might be doing something different.
Bryce
I'm not sure what is going on as my prefernces do not show the delete key as being the shortcut but the menu does.

The menu and the Settings dialog seem to agree on what key is used for Delete. The menu may be grayed out if you didn't have a document open. Delete is somewhat context sensitive. For example, at the beginning of a paragraph it could switch you to the next level higher (in a numbered or bulleted list) or to the previous text style (if you're using text styles defined with "and next style", I think). So we would need to see exactly what you have to say whether it's working incorrectly. Forward delete is a built-in, default macOS keyboard setting... for those without an extended keyboard... Fn-Delete: forward delete on keyboards that don’t have a Forward Delete key. Or use Control-D. There appears to be a possible bug in the Affinity apps in as much as it doesn't display the forward delete character in the keyboard shortcuts though you can tell it's there by the 'X' to the right of the keyboard shortcut field... Click the 'X' to remove the shortcut, this will remove the forward delete 'Create Style' shortcut from the Edit menu. For any other functions invoked using the forward delete key, check the keyboard shortcuts under settings to ensure there is no 'X' to the right of a blank text entry field for the associated shortcut, then see if the key functions as expected...
