If I click on the [fi] typography button in the context toolbar when the Typography Panel is undocked (floating) & I have previously set its width to larger than the minimum it just gets narrower on each click until it reaches that minimum width.

Aside from that, I would expect the panel window to toggle between open & closed when I click that button, in the same way that it does when I use my assigned CTRL-T keyboard shortcut to it.

The size of the panel changing on each click was supposed to have been fixed during the beta. It was logged as:

  • AF-2876 - Repeatedly clicking the typography button will decrease the size of the panel

I can't duplicate that now. Does it still happen if you reset your studio first? I had some quirks with the Typography panel until I reset my studio and saved a fresh preset.

FWIW the buttons for the character and paragraph panels also just open them, they don't toggle them to hidden.

If you mean the reset studio option available when CTRL-starting the app, that moves the studio into the Right Studio panel group, which I assume is the default. But if I move it out so it floats, I still get the same decreasing size behavior once it is set to larger than the default width. It is also much shorter so I have to increase its height if I don't want to scroll it.

As for the toggle, I know it is the same for several others. I just would prefer if the button worked like the keyboard shortcuts.

I just meant using the reset studio command in the Window menu but I believe that does the same thing. Hmm, perhaps it's specific to your version of macOS.

If I do that, the Typography panel does not appear anywhere in the UI so I have to open it from the Window menu or via my shortcut. That once again puts it at the bottom of the Right Studio group, so has no effect once I drag it out to float & increase its width.

So for you, if you float the panel & increase its width it does not shrink if you keep clicking?

That's correct, it works correctly for me.

There is one related issue users should be aware of - do not open 2.4 studio presets in 2.5 - it can cause the Typography window not to open. This was reported during the beta but it still does this. So delete your 2.4 presets and make new ones for 2.5.

That didn't change anything for me. 🙁
