Hi Forum

I'm a v1 Publisher user

I'm trying to snap a rectangle to a page top. It snaps fine, but its leaving a few pixels showing. But not on all pages. Any help appreciated

Is there another object on the page that the Shape Text layer may be snapping to instead of the top of the page? If you zoom in further, move the Shape Text layer above the top of the page and drag it down slowly, are you able to get it to snap where you want it?

Is the right side of the Shape Text layer snapped to the top of the page? If the top of the Shape Text object is not perfectly horizontal, that would create a gap.

If you're still having problems, if you can upload the Affinity Publisher file, that would help someone identify the issue.

In addition to Brian's note that another nearby object may be snapping: In this screenshot the currently selected object seems to be snapping at the page edge:

Or does the pink object have a black border assigned?

To confirm the assumption that an object other than the edge of the page is being captured, try turning off the option Snap to object bounding boxes.

Thanks all - I'm playing with the issue. Affinity locked up then crashed. Now when I replace the shape texts with rectangles the problem is fixed. How to bring out outline border properties for shape text boxes, please?

I suspect I had a stroke on the shape texts - I know where to look next time!

Just note, "stroke on text" is very different from "stroke on frame". (Yours seemed to be stroke on frame.)
