Shelbi Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 I installed Photo 2.4.1 yesterday and the option is missing from the menu and the combined keystrokes don't work. It is still present in Publisher and Designer. Quote
MikeTO Posted March 31, 2024 Posted March 31, 2024 Are you sure it was there previously? AFAIK, Zoom to Selection has never been part of Photo. I checked 1.10 and it's not there. Also, the help pages for Publisher and Designer list this feature but the page for Photo does not so this seems a deliberate choice. Shelbi Posted March 31, 2024 Author Posted March 31, 2024 I have a programmable keyboard set up for these apps. I use the same profile for Photo and Designer as they are the ones I use the most. It worked before. I don't know if it was in help before but, I just know my programmable key for that was working. That's how I figured out it wasn't working when I tried to use it. Quote

Dan C Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Hi @Shelbi, Thanks for your post! As mentioned above, this option has not previously been offered in Affinity Photo - however I cannot find any specific reason for this, and I'd personally expect all 3 apps to have the same Zoom menu options (and therefore shortcut functionality) present. Therefore I'm getting this logged with our team now, to consider adding the options to the Photo Zoom menu, matching Designer & Publisher. Interestingly, this functionality is already present in Affinity Photo, as you can double click on the thumbnail of the layer to 'Zoom to Selection' - though I do understand this does not change your issue specifically related to shortcut keys. Do note also that this functionality in all Affinity apps is a 'Zoom to selected object', and not a 'Zoom to Pixel Selection'. If you have a pixel selection active in the Pixel Persona of Designer, for example, then this option will still only zoom to these selected object/layer, ignoring your 'marching ants' pixel selection. I hope this helps Shelbi 1 Quote
