How to prevent a table from moving while editing it in APub2?

Recommended Posts

I’m trying to use the table Apub2 and the pesky thing keeps jumping around, (inadvertantly moving), unlike APho, which locks movement but still allows editing.

So how to lock table movement, and still allow an edit?

Just thot, jump into Apho lock it there?! , then jump back.

Locking is the same in both applications, isn't it? You just click on Lock in the Layers panel.

Hi Affinity Rat,

In Publisher you should still be able to type content etc as the layer lock works the same as in Photo, you will however need to switch back to the table tool when selecting the locked table object in order to edit any of the cells. Its also worth mentioning that items on master pages may look locked when being viewed on an actual page without edit detached enabled I figured its worth mentioning this just so you don't catch yourself out.

If you have any issues let me know.

Thanks

Yes, it appears you are correct, but when I clicked the table tool I still couldnt enter a cell for about 5-10 seconds, I didnt wait, after re-entering cell it was instant, could it be to change the lock status writes my file to cloud and hence the delay.
