The Ninth
Hi, I have an existing document with many photos that are part of the layout. Most of these photos are in much higher resolution than needed, and due to the downsizing they appear slightly blurred. Is there any way to apply sharpening after the internal resize directly in Affinity Publisher? There seem to be a lot of adjustment layer filters, but none for sharpening. I know I can do it using an external image editing program, but resizing all the photos to the right resolution and applying the sharpening would result in tremendous effort. walt.farrell
If you also own Affinity Photo at the same release level as your Affinity Publisher, you should be able to do it in the Photo Persona, using one of the Filters or Live Filters. walt.farrell
7 minutes ago, Alfred said: Just to be clear, the straight answer to the question is ‘No’. The Photo Persona (and thus the function needed) is "directly in Affinity Publisher" if you own Photo, too. The function is not "directly in the Publisher Persona of Affinity Publisher", but it is still "directly in" the application, as the application contains 3 Personas. I don't plan to continue this aspect of the discussion further here (in this topic). The Ninth
Hi Walt, Thanks! I do have Photo, but the person who actually created the document does not. What would happen if I apply the filter, and then give the document back to that person, would it still work, or would we loose the filter as soon as they open/save the document? NotMyFault
You can use all filter layer types (stored in documents) in all 3 apps, and in most cases even adjust settings, or copy / paste them to overcome the inability to create filters in Designer. Even and specifically in case you have only 1 of the apps installed.
