Impossible to use clone tool on an ipad

On an Ipad I can’t use the clone tool.

I did select "Active" layer.

But nothing happens.

I read somewhere that the "source" option could be the reason but I can’t find it in AP…

Can someone help ?

It works for me.

Did you Option+Click to set the clone source? Have you picked a good Brush from the Brushes panel?

Long-press with your finger to set the clone source on iPad.

What version of the application are you using? 

I used Option+Click on my iPad, in Photo 2.4.

I’m pretty sure that @Nadar is using version 1 of both Photo and Designer, in which case there isn’t the same easy access to modifier keys.

But I've just bought the version 2 but the clone tool is the only one, there's nothing in the drop-down menu, and the same goes for the other tools...

But how do you do the option click ? There is no keyboard !

In version 1 you can enable on-screen modifiers via the interface preferences settings (but it’s not as friendly as the Command Controller in version 2):

Do it like this, you must long press using your finger and not the apple pencil to set the source location, notice the small + as I use my finger to set and change source location.
