11clock Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 I am having an issue with strokes when you set them to be drawn outside of the fill. There tends to be a small translucent gap between the stroke and fill, which becomes apparent when I export the graphic. Quote

Old Bruce Posted March 12, 2024 Posted March 12, 2024 This is something that is known. Work arounds include using the Strokes panel to place the stroke at twice the desired width and be centre aligned behind the fill. Another work around is to use the Apperance panel in Designer to add a second stroke, centre aligned, and again behind the fill that is just wide enough to cover the gap. timint Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 (edited) I was considering upgrading to Affinity Designer 2 just to get around this problem. But only discovering it's the same problem even in this version. Here is a way to fix it: 1. Install InkScape. 2. Open .afdesign file with Inkscape. 3. Export image Note: The use of .afdesign is important. Do not convert to SVG as Affinity Designer will export the problem to the SVG as well. Edited November 27, 2024 by timint Quote
NotMyFault Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 You don’t need Inkscape or any other apps. There are multiple workarounds provided in this and other threads using only Affinity apps.
