T.E. Posted March 12, 2024 Author Posted March 12, 2024 It might related, most of other problem that already reported are in the App itself in my case, it look like Publisher are able to display it correcly most of font are display in App perfect and correctly, while some other font will will have just a minor problem (character stack in incorrect order but it readable) but problem come when print/export most of stack characters moved to wrong place or on top of other character. If I Convert text to curves or Rasterize layer Publisher are able to print/export correctly. but that would make my document uneditable. Quote
AiDon Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 This may also be because the Kedamee keyboard is inconsistent with the ำ vowel because it needs the tone mark before the vowel to display correctly. This is inconsistent with the way we would write it with consonant+vowel+tone mark. T.E. Posted March 13, 2024 Author Posted March 13, 2024 If we type in consonant น +vowel ำ+tone ้ most of app will put vowel in the wrong places like this นำ้ (correctly it should be น้ำ) (Except MS Word that would fix vowel position automatically) Quote
T.E. Posted July 17, 2024 Author Posted July 17, 2024 Hi, Problem that I report seem sloved with 2.5.x (that support Variable font) evenif im not using variable font. Quote
TJH Art Studio Posted January 7 Posted January 7 A friend of mine sent me a pdf file with Thai fonts but when I opened it on any of the Affinity software it came out gibberish. It didn’t look anything like Thai letters. It seems the only way I can open it is in jpg but I can’t make any changes to the fonts if I open it like that. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? T.E. Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Can you open in other PDF software such as Adobe Reader? It sound like font might not embedded in PDF file Quote

Affinity applications cannot use fonts embedded in the PDF; they must be installed on your system, too.
