Hi There

I have just upgraded to Photo 2 and it continues to crash while deep etching a very basic straight lined image. I am using the following:

Windows 10 Home, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.6ghz 3601MHz 4 core 8 Logical processors 16GB Ram Nivida 640 GT Graphics card

I loaded the latest driver and did a clean install as instructed and still no change. See performance image below

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

I'm not sure what you mean by "deep etching". Can you explain that a bit more?

A quick search on the Interwebs suggests that “deep etching” is nothing more than a piece of jargon which refers to background removal achieved with clipping paths. I have to confess that it doesn’t sound particularly “deep” to me!

@colinh,

I see you're using a Nvidia GT640 card. Are you able to use the Hardware Acceleration? Before upgrading to my current, I used a similar one, the GTX 645, and I couldn't use Hardware Acceleration. Have you tried turning that on, by checking the box beside it?
