Martin Diaz Posted March 2, 2024 Author Posted March 2, 2024 sorry I wasn't specific. I updated Affinity Photo 2 to the latest 2.4 version. I don't do raw. just jpegs, and bracketing images. I used a Mac. I typically I edit Jpegs and save them as jpegs. I didn't have this issue before until I updated Affinity Photo walt.farrell 1
RichardMH Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 By saved dark do you mean exported jpegs are dark but the file is OK in Photo itself? If so, maybe post a screen shot of the export panel. Your good file comes up in Explorer as sRGB but nothing for the other. So seems the colour space has changed.
Martin Diaz Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 that's correct. on affinity app it looks underdeveloped. it started when I updated app to version 2.4. it was fine before. I deleted app and restored it from the App Store, still same issue. this is what I get.
Martin Diaz Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 this is a snap shot of affinity. it looks great. once I saved it, it look dark. I already cleared, reset and re install app with the same result.
Martin Diaz Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 I had always use "save" as Jpegs since they are for real estate. I realized the problem is with HDR. I decided to use NEW STACK instead of HDR Merge and I was able to save my image with no issues. I which there was a way to revert to version 2.2. version 2.4 has been a pain. I appreciate you trying to help me. I feel it's a software issue. even my older MacOS Catalina is doing the same thing. thanks again affinity should fix this problem Westerwälder 1

However, you may wish to consider reverting to version 2.3 instead (unless you had problems with that release, too). Martin Diaz Posted March 3, 2024 Author Posted March 3, 2024 I deleted affinity photo version 2.4, downloaded version 2.2 and my problem got fixed. I will stick to this version until affinity fixes the problem with under develop images. I have MacOS

NotMyFault Posted March 3, 2024 Posted March 3, 2024 Most probably settings in 32-bit preview. You must activate ICC preview. then, some versions had issues exporting JPG directly from RGB/32. it can help to convert first to RGB/16. Goodby Forum, thanks for good discussion and so much support from great peers and Affinity staff. It was a great pleasure to be part of this fantastic community. After 03.10.2025 find me on https://creofora.com

I didn't have problems with this version until I updated to 2.4. I did tried all these suggestions before. I deleted app, I reset all settings. downloaded app again. ended up with the same problem. I used affinity for my real estate photography . I will stick to version 2.2 until affinity sends a bug fix. I do appreciate your feedback.
