Demonskunk
I've been trying to set up an automatic Table of Contents in my book, and it has caused me to crash 3 or 4 times within a short period. I don't know if my book is simply too big (13 documents, totalling 295 pages), but performance tanks when it has to re-index the ToC and sometimes it crashes. MikeTO
I don't have my iPad handy - my cat won't let me move - but I thought the Books feature was not available for iPad and you said your book is 13 documents. Is a a Book with chapter documents or is it a 295-page document? Could you please share a crash report here to help the developers? MikeTO
Thank you for clarifying you're on macOS. I don't think your document is too big. The issue is probably related to the Books feature since nobody else is reporting crashes with the TOC feature which has been around for years. There's a similar report this week with the index feature and Books. I don't have any answers for you, Serif may need to see the crash reports and files to help. Good luck. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/199425-trying-to-build-my-index-hangs-almost-constantly-tables-lose-dimensions-with-missing-fonts/ Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)

Fingers crossed.
