  1. I ran into a reproducible bug where Affinity Publisher crashes if I right click a misspelled word after doubleclicking on it in the preflight panel. The video shows this happening on two separate words, and then shows me right clicking on the word without doubleclicking it on the preflight panel just fine, then it crashing after I doubleclick it from the preflight panel. I'm not sure where to submit bug reports, since there didn't seem to be a bug report forum? So I'm submitting it here. If this is the wrong place to submit it, please let me know where I should. 2. Make sure you don't have any system-wide replacements causing problems. And also try saving and restarting Publisher.
  3. File size for the exported document, not the layout document. But that said, will having them as linked resources improve Affinity Publisher's performance while editing?
  4. Which of the settings should I change to only downsample the images? I'm trying to keep my file size low while I'm working on it because it's a big book.
  5. Yeah, sorry about that. The issue was that I had an FX layer on it. After I removed it and replaced it with a stroke the problem went away.
  6. I'm having some weird rendering errors in my book, where a white outline isn't displaying properly. The text is black with a 2pt white stroke applied to it, rendering behind the text. For some reason it doesn't display on the text "Hindrances" and it creates a weird white box inside the C that's the same size as the yellow box that should be visible through the white outline. If I increase the stroke size to 3pt it renders out correctly. I tried deleting the text and retyping it, I tried applying a different style and then reapplying this style. It happens really inconsistently throughout the document in other places as well.
  7. Well, my issue is that the text was considerably blurrier than the page text or the other shapes.
  8. That's exactly what I meant. When exporting my pages, the page numbers were blurry to the point of being borderline unreadable. But if it's just because of the FX panel then that's an easy fix. Thank you!
  9. I'm encountering a strange issue where Affinity Publisher 2 is compressing some of my numbers (The Page Numbers, and the little sideways number on the title line), but not other text. I screenshotted my export settings, and I included a PDF of a 2 page spread showing off the issue. Edit: It's like it's rasterizing the text for some reason? AA_PT01_Intro.pdf
  10. Oh, you've GOT to be pooping me. My language is set to Default (which is English) but the default autocorrect opens to English (UK). That's... Why isn't the default autocorrect tab set to the same as your general language!?! Thanks, this fixed it. I just had to edit English instead of Wrong English /s
  11. Adding (A) -> (A) doesn't change the behavior. It still wants to be @. Screen Recording 2023-11-12 at 2.48.59 AM.mov
  12. Or it would be lovely if it had worked. I removed (A) -> @ from the list of replacements, but it's still replacing it. This could be a mac bug?
  13. I'm writing Tabletop RPG rules, and I frequently need to type (A), but Affinity Publisher is automatically replacing it with an @ symbol. Is there a setting I can change to make that stop?
  14. Order: Draw Stroke Behind is exactly what I needed, thank you!
  15. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it well, but when I overlap one text box over another, the text inside one of them tries to stay out of the way of the other one. I've attached a 3 image sequence of me dragging a text box over onto another text box, showing the text inside the smaller box sliding over until it finally just vanishes. Not sure what's causing this. The smaller text box is on a layer above the larger text box.
