lotsdots
My desktop version does not allow to set document sizes or guides positions on 0,1 mm increments. So 124,5mm gets changed to 125mm. iPad version works fine, but even after setting up and saving documents on iPad first, the desktop version will change the sizes to whole milimeters. Is there an easy way out, this is very problematic for what I am working on.
MikeTO
Hi @lotsdots and welcome to the forums. You just need to change the precision level. Go to the app's Settings, click User Interface, and change Millimetres from 0 to 1. lotsdots
oh my goodness... that worked! It does not really makes sense, but that could be a language issue. But thanks!! MikeTO

It is not as obvious as it could be but the Decimal Places for Unit Types settings just set the number of decimal places displayed in the UI. The app always uses the maximum possible precision, which is a bit over 6 decimal places, so if you enter 12,5 mm that's what it will use regardless of what it displays. It reminds me to two options when using expressions that may lead to different results if a rounded value is currently displayed in a field. One adds the expression to the displayed value the other deletes the value before typing the expression. Or with Gabe's words: If you wanted to use the internal value, you would have to delete what's in the box and type "*=2" or "*2". What I mean is if you type a value directly into the field, it will be evaluated at the maximum available precision, regardless of the number of decimal places displayed once you move out of that field. But of course if you do not clear the field first & use an expression that operates on the displayed value it will use that instead. It would be weird if it did not, don't you think? walt.farrell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.2 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
