Brent Pedersen Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 I've been using the Publisher 2.3.0 (on my M1 iMac / Sonoma OS 14.1.2) and love it. Today, I went to edit a hyperlink that points to an anchor but discovered that all my hyperlinks (to anchors) won't update/save. They all show the first item in my anchor list. If I create a new link, save and reopen the change isn't saved (still shows the first item in my anchor list) ## The weird thing: when I export to PDF all the links work...I just can't edit any existing hyperlinks or create new ones. I can't see which anchor is real because they all show as the first anchor in my list of anchors) ## I restarted the computer, same thing I shutdown the computer, waited and booted back up, same thing I open a different file, same thing (all the hyperlinks show as the first item in the anchors menu) I created a new file (thinking my old ones may have been corrupt) but the same thing I deleted the application (dragged it from my application folder to the trash) and downloaded a fresh copy (thinking the program may have been corrupted since it was happening in all files) and same thing Is there a file in the Library I need to delete also? walt.farrell Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 I'm seeing the same behavior on Windows. Edit Hyperlink in the Hyperlinks panel always shows the first anchor in the anchor list. You can right-click on the Hyperlink in the text and choose "Go to Hyperlink Target" and that will put the cursor at the correct anchor, so it's just the Hyperlink Panel that has it wrong. MikeTO Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 Same for me, definitely a new bug. Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.4, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
Brent Pedersen Posted December 28, 2023 Author Posted December 28, 2023 A bug + a workaround is much better than a bug without one. Thanks for the help. Is Affinity aware of the bug? Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 28, 2023 Posted December 28, 2023 It hasn't been previously reported that I have seen. A moderator may move this to the Bugs forum, as it is clearly a bug, but probably not much more than that will happen with it until Serif reopens for business after January 2. Staff Lee D Posted January 3, 2024 Staff Posted January 3, 2024 I've logged this with the developers to investigate as it seems to be a regression. Quote
Staff Affinity Info Bot Posted March 11, 2024 Staff Posted March 11, 2024 The issue "Hyperlink panel displays the same/first anchor for all if multiple are setup" (REF: AF-1647) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.0.2317". This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release. Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions. If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us. Quote
