Any idea when Affinity will support RF-S10-18mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM lens?

It would be nice to have the lens distortion stuff available for the lens.

Any ideas how to work around? (Mac Desktop Version 2.3.0)

Thanks,

Jeff

I think that lens is one of the newest Canon releases. Since Serif relies on a third party (Libraw)  for lens correction, it will be sometime as Libraw only releases updates maybe once every 6 mos. Until then, I recommend using Canon's Digital Photo Professional (DPP) software.

Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Affinity Photo,Designer 1.10.6.1605 Win10 Home Version:21H2, Build: 19044.1766: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz, 3301 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s);32GB Ram, Nvidia GTX 3070, 3-Internal HDD (1 Crucial MX5000 1TB, 1-Crucial MX5000 500GB, 1-WD 1 TB), 4 External HDD

That's for RAW development. Lens correction is also third-party, but would come from Lensfun, instead.

Interesting, I just checked Lensfun website and the RF-S 10-18 is on their list.  Maybe Serif will update sometime soon.

thanks for the response, I'll keep checking from time to time.  I do not use a wide angle all that frequently.  The lens is fairly new only being out for about a month.

Nope, a Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM is on their list, but no RF-S 10-18mm.

Maybe I should add further, that if you find some calibrated lensfun Canon RF-S 10-18mm XML data on the Lensfun site (...in Blogs or forum comments there, GitHub, etc.) you could then add that manually to APh, so there is no need to wait until the next APh version will update & support that. - See therefor ...

... etc.
