tempparrot
the font I have problem with is: Seravek It was the default font on my mac. Once upon a time I've updated macos and found that they delete the font from the system, so I reinstalled it to my mac manually but anyway affinity designer doesn't see the font (other apps see) I need that font, how to make it work? R C-R
How specifically did you manually install it? Where did you get the font from & which in folder did you install it on your Mac? iconoclast
Is it possibly a Type 1 font? I'm not sure if Mac still supports them. Most softwares don't, as far as I know.
kenmcd
Seravek is now one of Apple's "Document-support fonts" so it is blocked by Apple. https://support.apple.com/en-us/103197#document Quote These fonts are available only to documents that already use the font, or to apps that request the font by name. Some are older fonts that were included with earlier versions of macOS or Apple apps. Affinity does not support Apple's font controls. If you search this forum for "Seravek" or "Athelas" etc. - you will find other similar discussions. The work-around is to rename the fonts (properly). Apple apparently keys on the PostScript Name.
