RL2492 Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Curious if anyone knows how to replicate the rainbow gradient/ombre effect that the stroke has on the unicorn style? Quote
GarryP Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 The Unicorn Style uses a Texture Brush to achieve its effect (I think). You can alternatively use a Conical Gradient, adding gradient stops manually, via the Gradient Tool to get a similar effect – see attached image. Quote

Yes, it seems to be a texture brush, I just can't figure out how all the colors were added. Thanks for the input! Quote

For my part, I used a conical gradient applied to a donut, with the same color at 0% and 100%. Of course, this also works with a simple circle. Quote
NotMyFault Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Using the polar to rectangular filter, you can reverse engineer the actual gradient. Using the channels panel or a channel mixer adjustment, you can deconstruct the RGB channels. The gradient is not uniform, but somehow distorted (intentionally), see RGB waveform. remaining steps: export the gradient as png create new image brush from png. Set mode to stretch. create ellipse shape using new brush Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
