Does the latest Affinity Designer allow the use of Postscript (Type 1) fonts on a desktop Mac running OSX 13.5, via Celartem’s Suitcase Fusion? (As of this year, Adobe software does not, notoriously.)

Greetings! Can someone let me know if my Adobe post-script fonts will work with Affinity Photo (or any Affinity software)? My OS is 10.13.6  and the right answer would absolutely make my day! If not, are there any OS below 15.0 that will? THANKS media2manage@nyc.rr.com

Welcome to the Affinity forums.

Assuming you own a macOS license for V1 of Affinity Photo, and are still using V1, I would expect those fonts to be supported.

V2 requires macOS 10.15 or later, so it would not run at all on 10.13.6.

Not sure if the Mac is 'bitten' by the same issue as on Windows, but with the 2.5.5 release the support for type-1 fonts went belly up.
I also posted on this in here, and it 'should' be fixed in the latest 2.6 release (haven't installed this one yet...).
But that with Windows, for the Mac ymmv....

It is (screenshot from Publisher 2.6.0 on Windows Pro 11 24H2):

On macOS (I think starting from Ventura) PostScript is disabled at system level so even if FontBook still "installs" Type1 fonts (in the user library), they will not show anywhere in font menus. On Windows the support is (IMO rightly) left for users and apps.

Thanks for confirming :)
When my running project is done, I will happily upgrade. (Tip: never ever update while running a active project....)
