Publisher 2.3.0.2096 Resource manager does not work

Recommended Posts

Hi @anto,

You have 'Automatically update linked resources when modified externally' disabled which means the files are not going to updated in your Publisher document automatically. You should have that option enabled...

Having said that a bug has been identified in 2.3.0.2096 on macOS which is waiting to be logged that may also be present on Windows but I would try enablling the linked resources option first to see of that makes any difference...

After save and re-open file all images are blurred but status is OK.

In which case it sounds like the same bug exists on Windows as that's exactly what happens on macOS as well...

No, but problem is that STATUS is OK, but not Modify

I think that is part of the bug, if you watch @MikeTO's screen recording in the linked post you'll see the same issue...

Even the original image doesn't update for me

Even when you have 'Automatically update linked resources when modified externally' enabled?

If enabled - images update, but in the right panel wrong info about DPI. Color profile changed, but DPI - no.

Again, I believe this is all part of this particular bug... I've not checked it with changing dpi and colour profiles, only simple edits as per @MikeTO post but I will do so as I suspect the same issue will be present on macOS.

Hopefully, someone in the moderation team will get this logged today and we'll see a quick fix in an upcoming Beta...

The issue "Images modified externally aren't detected as modified" (REF: AF-972) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.3.0.2106".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
