Strange that cmd-W is grayed out in your video. – Is it also grayed out when one of the various interface windows (not panel) is open, e.g. a Manager Window?

Resource Manager: To me in V1 then cmd-W does not close this Manager window but the document (possibly with asking to Save first). This is a reported issue for V1 / mac. (according to macOS design guidelines cmd-W always should close a frontmost window)

Font Manager: To me in V1 then cmd-W closes the document + sometimes the app + sometimes crashes the app.

macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

I tried this intermittently yesterday however, I was not able to reproduce on Windows. I was using a similar recipe that I was using on macOS (dragging the window from screen to screen, min/maxing, etc.)

I'm going to try today on a different setup and see what happens.

Designer 2.4.0.2240 the same bug. MacOs Ventura. Macbook Pro

How to... if you use 2 monitors.

Set Designer to external monitor.

1. Minimize to tray.

2. Select file, for example, svg.

3. Right mouse click and open with Designer beta 2

Hi anto. Thank you for the video. I can clearly see you are having a genuine issue but for the life of me, I cannot reproduce it. I've just spent about an hour trying different combinations of screen resolutions, Hardware Acceleration (HA) on/off etc.

Can you let me know what graphics card your Mac has please and remind me if you work with HA on or off.
