Johansenfoto Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Affinity Photo v.2 have a bug where you can't create LUTs to be used for color correction in other softwares. I show here how it is not working but also that it works great in version 1 of Affinity Photo. This problem have been since December 2022 as I can see on the forum and still haven't been fixed. Quote
RichardMH Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Hmm. Works OK for me. Exported a cube LUT and loaded it into Photolab. Quote
NotMyFault Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 As far as I know (might be outdated) you can create LUTs by 2 methods: add several adjustments on top of a base image, then export LUT infer LUT by comparing the current opened image with another external file i‘be never seen exporting a LUT directly from RAW edits. Johansenfoto Posted October 2, 2023 Author Posted October 2, 2023 As you guys can see in video, it works with v1 but not in v2. I have tried after develop also, didn't work. Quote
Staff DWright Posted October 2, 2023 Staff Posted October 2, 2023 Is it possible for you to post a copy of your LUT as we have not been able to replicate this issue from your video workflow. Quote
RichardMH Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Just did another test. It ignores everything I did in the Develop Persona. testb1.cube Quote

The LUT is created from Adjustment Layers in the file. https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/Adjustments/export_3dLut.html The Develop Persona does not create Adjustment Layers, therefore actions done there cannot be captured and exported as a LUT. It's only one layer in v2, used to be different in v1 but there is no problem. Quote

In the Photo Persona, using Adjustment Layers, after the image is Developed. Do not make adjustments in the Develop Persona if you want to create LUTs.
