V2 and Future

Recommended Posts

I have read the FAQ, but still cannot find the answer I'm looking for.

Since you guys don't know when V3 comes out. Let say I purchased the V2.2 now and V3 will be releasing in 30 days. I will feel the buyer remorse if there are no time periods allows upgrading to V3 for those who recently purchased V2.

It will be upsetting and rebuy another C$160+ within 30 days just for V3? Total C$320 within a year upgrade?

Do you guys have consumer protection behind this? I'm wondering If I just hold off from buying V2 at all and wait for V3. I don't want to feel remorse for buying V2. V2 has been out almost a year now.

When V2 was announced, special provisions were made for users who had purchased in the prior 90 days.

V1 lasted for about 8 years before V2 came out. And it got to to release 1.10.6 before then. You could have a long wait....

In my opinion, the model should be like CleanShot X app instead of lock purchase per V# version. Every buyer will have one year of free upgrades from the day of your purchase.

Those of us who purchased V1 at 1.5 had about eight years with no further payment.

Those who purchased later in 1.10,  say only 100 days before V2 came out may have been unhappy. But I'd be upset to have a plan as poor as the CleanShot X one you're suggesting, as I'd have to have paid much more than I did.

Maybe the best bet would be to wait until version 10, to make sure you really get your money’s worth! 😁
