GeirSol
Hi! I make a TOC, with entries like: Act Scene Number But, for pages that has entries on same page I get numbers listed before scene. Like under. This is wrong. I've got the actual entries with scene above (in layer and visual) number, but it doesn't sort right. How do get this correct? walt.farrell
Within the same page, the entries will be sorted based on several factors. If they are in different text objects, the text in objects closer to the bottom of the Layers stack in the Layers panel will appear earlier in the TOC. If they are in the same text object, the text that appears first in the object will appear earlier in the TOC. If you have Pinned any text objects into a Text Frame, I think that will override #1 and make that text behave more like #2, but I have not experimented much with that. thomaso and GeirSol 2 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. That was the opposite logic of what I expected. As from the visual POV the layer on top is first.

When you paint overlapping paint strokes on a canvas, the strokes painted first are closer to the canvas, thus on the bottom of the layer stack. You could also think about it like how buildings are constructed from the foundation upwards with each new floor added above the last; or more generally how things are stacked with the first item at the bottom & each item added above the last, like stacking dishes in a cupboard. walt.farrell 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.5.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.
