Allard
Affinity designer/photo/publisher 2.1.1 for iPad. iPad air 2022 64gb, free space 24 gb.Documents all in iCloud When I work for some time in designer some functions don’t work anymore. For instance the fill function fails to fill a shape with colour. I have to restart the iPad to be-able to work again. Everything works fine for some time and then it happens again. Reminds on far gone times in OS9 on the mac.
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Sorry to hear you're having that problem. I find that happens with many different apps on my iPad, including even Safari. I've just decided it's an iPad or iPadOS issue, in general. When it happens to you, is everything else working OK? Staff stokerg Posted August 18, 2023 Staff Share Posted August 18, 2023 Hi @Allard, Further to the question asked by @walt.farrell, you might like to try a Forced restart of your iPad, which has been known to clear up some random freezing/crashing issues. To do this, see here, please note this is different to just restarting your iPad, so it's certainly worth a try
Allard
@walt.farrell @stokerg Thanks for your reply. I have no problems with other apps than Designer. The solution of @stokerg means that it is indeed a problem of the iPadOS. I did the forced restart but had not enough time yet to see the effect. walt.farrell
