Occasionally, you may need to restart your iPad if you are having trouble with the Affinity apps.

Force restarting your iPad will clear the RAM/cache in use on your iPad currently and can resolve uncommon or irregular issues. You should not lose any saved data using this method.

For iPads with a Home button, such as the iPad Air:

  • Hold down the Power button and the Home button together, the iPad will turn off and reboot.
  • Continue to hold down both buttons until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
  • Let go off both buttons and wait for the iPad to finish rebooting.

For iPads without a Home button, such as the 2020 iPad Pro:

  • Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
  • Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
  • Then press and hold the Power button until the device restarts.
