Project moved from Publisher v1 to v2. Strange Overflow Text Issue w/ Video.

Recommended Posts

Sometimes things like that are the result of a bug in V1 being fixed in V2. And sometimes they're the result of a bug being introduced in V2.

Unfortunately, without having that section of the file to examine, it probably will be difficult to say which is the case this time.

Can you copy some of the elements from that page and put them into a new V1 file, and create the same issue? If so, sharing it here might help figure out what's going on.

Okay, found some time to do this and yes, the bug is still there. I've attached the (1 page) file.

My version 1 is: 1.10.5.1342

My version 2 is: 2.1.1

Just a side note, in the entire rest of this project, over 400 pages, this was the only spot where this particular issue happened even though I used this style of text a good bit. I did have one other little issue that happened maybe 3 or 4 times (out of maybe 200+): boxed text would decide to do a line break at a slightly different spot, sometimes resulting in text getting cut off. A slight resizing of the text box would fix it.

I had to check the entire project VERY carefully to make sure I didn't miss anything. It makes me a little worried to install even minor new updates...

Please see my reply to this issue linked below -

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
