pruus
I worked on a project, and suddenly a extra, mystery, layerview is shown at the right bottom. When view the layerpanel. I see an hanging layer above the layers. I can supply the file per pm. I have checked in Affinity Designer Beta in Mac, this strange thing isn’t visible. Staff stokerg Posted July 27, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2023 Hi @pruus, We've had this reported before and do have it logged with the developers. There does appear to be a couple of triggers to get this to happen, the main one being dragging a layer from the Layers panel to the canvas and switching to another Studio, as outlined on this thread. You can clear this by fully closing the app and re-opening it If you can remember anything about your workflow before this happened, that doesn't fit with the workflow in the linked thread, please do let me know
pruus
@stokerg I had saved this document, exit, but it is still there. Opened in beta, MacOS, not visible. I was moving an image to another layer. And there it was. Ik keep searching.

That is, when you started the app the next time you got the Splash Screen? stokerg 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. pruus
Yes I did. Completely. Perhaps it’s an IOS 17 beta 4 problem. Saving the file in MOS Affinity Designer Beta, and than opening does not solve the issue. Strange. walt.farrell

I don't have iPadOS 17 installed as it's still in beta, but the QA Team should have an iPad with it running, so I can see if they can replicate this. Could you upload your afdesign file to our Dropbox here and I can get it logged with the Developers to take a look at
pruus
I would like to, but yesterday I have tried to read the file on the Mac, again, and saved it again. Now it’s gone. This must an IOS17-problem. Now it’s gone. My Timemachine copy was set every week. So I don’t have an -error copy- anymore. Glad that it is over. I try some thing tomorrow. stokerg
pruus
@stokerg I have managed to get it again, same as first. I send you the file.
