What does the "Fold" Corners option do when creating a vector brush?

The Help says: "Corners – determines the method used to control how corners are drawn within the stroke." … while 'overlap' can occur a bit uncontrolled occasionally.

The Corners also get influenced by the Join options in the Stroke panel, for instance …
